The WA Government is building a state-of-the-art Women and Babies Hospital and expanding services at Osborne Park Hospital and Perth Children’s Hospital.
The new hospital replaces King Edward Memorial Hospital and will be built within the Fiona Stanley Hospital precinct, creating more than 1,400 jobs during construction.
Construction of the new Women and Babies Hospital is expected to be completed by 2029, delivering modern health care facilities that will support Western Australian families for generations to come.
Webuild is the appointed Managing Contractor for the new Women and Babies Hospital at the Fiona Stanley Hospital precinct and the Osborne Park Hospital expansion.
A separate contract for the construction of the first of two new multi-deck car parks within the Fiona Stanley Precinct was awarded to Georgiou Group. Construction of the first multi-deck car park is set to commence in late 2025.

Engaging the community
-
We are committed to engaging with patients, family members, carers, visitors, staff and the community to deliver facilities and services that meet the needs of all Western Australians.
To date, community members have taken part in:
- focus groups on patient pathways.
- user groups with staff and clinicians.
- online workshops to provide important lived experience insights to inform project planning.
- Project Community Advisory Group to help make our new facilities welcoming, inclusive, safe, and appropriate for everyone who uses them.
We are also engaging with Aboriginal people and organisations to help inform and shape the new facilities in a way that is meaningful and culturally appropriate.
