New Women and Babies Hospital New hospital and expansions

Murdoch, Osborne Park, Nedlands

Overview

The WA Government is building a state-of-the-art Women and Babies Hospital and expanding services at Osborne Park Hospital and Perth Children’s Hospital.

The new hospital replaces King Edward Memorial Hospital and will be built within the Fiona Stanley Hospital precinct, creating more than 1,400 jobs during construction.

Construction of the new Women and Babies Hospital is anticipated to be completed by 2029, delivering modern health care facilities that will support Western Australian families for generations to come.

Webuild Group, a global leader in the design and construction of large infrastructure projects including hundreds of healthcare facilities, is the managing contractor for the new hospital and the expansion at Osborne Park Hospital.

A separate contract for the construction of the first of two new multi deck car parks within the Fiona Stanley Precinct was awarded to Georgiou Group. Construction of the first multi-deck car park is set to commence in late 2025.
