The widening of two kilometres of the Mitchell Freeway between Hutton Street to Cedric Street is underway and will provide a fourth lane in what is currently a heavily congested route.
Works will include the installation of 5.3 kilometres of high standard concrete barriers along the rail reserve, between Glendalough Station and Erindale Road as well as construction of a double exit lane on the Cedric Street.

The McGowan Government is continuing with its congestion busting, job-creating program of road upgrades, with Premier Mark McGowan and Transport Minister Rita Saffioti on hand today to turn the sod on Mitchell Freeway widening works.
