Project

Meekatharra Hospital Redevelopment

Meekatharra

Overview

The Meekatharra Hospital Redevelopment Project will deliver a new facility on the existing site.

It will include a modern emergency department with treatment spaces and a dedicated mental health assessment room, a new inpatient unit including a palliative care suite and improved renal dialysis services collocated within the emergency department.

Upgrades to engineering systems, medical gas and ICT infrastructure will enhance clinical safety and telehealth capabilities. Additional improvements include a separate main entry for better patient flow, ancillary staff services and retention of staff accommodation.

Once complete, the community will benefit from contemporary emergency and inpatient health services.

The project forms part of the Government’s $4.9 billion investment in health infrastructure and will help to strengthen healthcare access and expand service capacity throughout regional WA.
