Caledonian Avenue level crossing in Maylands was recognised as one of four crossings to remove as part of METRONET.
After lengthy investigations, the State Government has determined the best option is to close the level crossing.
The level crossing will close in the first half of 2022, with planning underway to deliver local road enhancements at the intersections of Guildford Road / Seventh and Eighth Avenues, as well as Whatley Crescent and Railway Parade.
