Funding has been allocated for a variety of road and intersection upgrades to improve traffic flow and safety for road users, pedestrians and cyclists.

New protected bike lanes have been installed on Railway Parade, while a speed reduction to 50km/h on Railway Parade between Grand Promenade and Third Avenue took effect in late-2022.

Works in early-2024 are planned to include upgrading the Hotham Bridge and installing new traffic signals at the intersection of Whatley Crescent, allowing a new right-turn lane.

Visit the Main Roads website for full details on planned works.
