The closure of the Caledonian Avenue level crossing in April 2022 changes the way traffic moves in the Maylands area.

Funding has been allocated for a variety of road and intersection upgrades to improve traffic flow and safety for road users, pedestrians and cyclists.

Preliminary concepts include enhancements at the intersection of Guildford Road/ Seventh and Eighth avenues, as well as Whatley Crescent, Railway Parade and Caledonian Avenue.
