Two projects are currently underway on Toodyay Road to improve travel between Perth, Toodyay and surrounding suburbs.

This includes road widening and installation of safety barriers from Aspen Road to Dryandra Road (metropolitan area). Construction at Aspen Road began in March 2021 and is due for completion in late-2022. 

Construction from Dryandra Road to Goomalling Toodyay Road includes passing lanes and heavy vehicle climbing lanes, shoulder widening / sealing and installation of audible edge lining, plus intersection improvements along the route.

Construction of an overtaking lane around Jingaling Brook started in late 2020 and was completed in late 2021.
