The Jetty One replacement at Barrack Square will return this facility to full operations to support tourism, charter and growth opportunities.

The current Jetty One has been in service for more than 50 years, nearly double its original 30-year design life. the facility plays a crucial role in supporting both commercial users and the local community. Its replacement will enhance safety and access, and ensures ongoing functionality.

Planned works on Jetty One include demolition of the original structure and introduction of new steel piles and concrete deck.

The new jetty will be the same length. One section will be narrower to provide more water space on the western side for better manoeuvrability and potential future development between Jetty 1 and Jetty 2.

Work on site is scheduled to begin in 2026.
