The Fascine waterway is one of Carnarvon's key assets, linking the community to its coast.

This multi-faceted Department of Transport project involves finding long-term solutions for access issues at the waterway.

Construction on 16 new floating pens at Carnarvon Boat Harbour is now complete. The pens will help to immediately improve year-round ocean access.

The next phase of works to provide improved ocean access at Carnarvon has now been confirmed, with planning underway for upgrades of the Carnarvon Boat Harbour boat ramp.

Studies to determine the best location for a sustainable new entrance channel are ongoing.

Benefits

  • Restored access to the Fascine
  • Additional boat pens
  • Sustainable new entrance channel
