Improvements to the Balgo Hill airstrip are complete, including reconstruction of the runway, taxiway and apron, improved draining and installation of new solar-powered lighting.

The works will support safe, year-round aviation access for one of WA’s most remote Aboriginal communities.

This project is part of the State Government's Aboriginal Community Airstrip Renewal Program (ACARP), which aims to aims to improve quality of life in remote Aboriginal communities by reducing isolation, increasing safety, and strengthening community resilience, while improving access to services.
