An upgrade of the Bidyadanga Airstrip is complete, supporting safe landings and jobs in remote Kimberley.
Improvements included corrective earth works to repair and smooth the runway shoulders and improve drainage, allowing the airstrip to support safe, year-round aviation access.
This project is part of the State Government's Aboriginal Community Airstrip Renewal Program (ACARP), which aims to aims to improve quality of life in remote Aboriginal communities by reducing isolation, increasing safety, and strengthening community resilience, while improving access to services.
