A new interchange is being planned for Tonkin Highway, located between Ellenbrook and Bullsbrook.

This project plans to meet the growing demands for residential blocks in Western Australia, unlocking vital housing opportunities and improving road safety for current and future traffic.

The current design will enable the delivery of more than 12,500 new residential lots and supports the future 36,000 people expected to live in the area. These new homes will be well connected by road and proximity to the Ellenbrook Line.

Subject to environmental and heritage approvals, procurement for design and construction is expected to begin in 2026.
