The Tom Price Hospital Redevelopment marks a transformative investment in regional Western Australia's healthcare infrastructure. This purpose-built facility is designed to meet the evolving needs of the local community, delivering comprehensive, high-quality care in a modern and efficient environment.
Scope
At the heart of the redevelopment is a state-of-the-art Emergency Department, equipped to handle a wide spectrum of medical situations. It will feature spaces for critical care, urgent medical needs, subacute care and mental health.
The hospital will also include a four-bed inpatient ward, offering short-term accommodation for patients requiring observation or recovery. This compact yet functional ward ensures continuity of care while maintaining a personal and comfortable setting.
Beyond emergency and inpatient services, the facility integrates contemporary primary care amenities. Specialist services and supporting infrastructure are also embedded within the design, including rooms for pathology collection and dental treatment. This will enable residents to access essential diagnostics and oral health services locally, reducing the need for travel to distant centres.
This redevelopment is more than a construction project, it’s a commitment to the health and resilience of the Tom Price community. By combining advanced medical facilities with thoughtful design, the new hospital will empower clinicians, support families, and elevate the standard of care for years to come.
