Significant upgrades are planned on Reid Highway with two new interchanges at Altone Road and Drumpellier Drive/Daviot Road. 

The major improvements will enhance road safety and traffic flow for residents and tourists and will facilitate a more efficient and reliable movement of freight.

A new shared path network will be introduced to provide cyclist and pedestrian access to the Swan Valley, achieved with the addition of a new PSP bridge and pedestrian and cyclist underpass.

Construction is expected to commence in late-2025.
