Major upgrades are underway to modify the Leach Highway and Corinthian Road East intersection.

Leach Highway is an arterial route connecting road users to Kwinana Freeway, the Welshpool industrial centre and airport terminals.

The project will be delivered in two stages. Stage One is scheduled for completion in August 2025.

Stage One involves a new left-in, left-out, and right-in only modification at the Leach Highway and Corinthian Road East intersection to improve safety and efficiency. 

Stage Two is planned for delivery in 2026-2027 and will include the installation of traffic signals at Beatrice Avenue to enhance access and improve pedestrian connectivity across Leach Highway.

A new left-in, left-out, and right-in only configuration is also planned to be introduced at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Leach Highway.
