The Forrest Highway Intersection is undergoing upgrades to ease congestion and improve accessibility.
Construction activities are expected to start in early November 2026, with works currently planned to continue into late 2027.
More than 30,000 vehicles pass through the existing Forrest Highway and Vittoria Road intersection each day. The project includes construction of a new intersection on Forrest Highway west of the existing Vittoria Road, and a new access road between Forrest Highway and Jeffrey Road. Alternative access to the nearby suburb of Glen Iris will help to improve traffic flow and caters for future growth in the area.
