EastLink WA is a culmination of more than 40 years of road planning activities for the north-eastern corridor of the Perth metropolitan area and Wheatbelt region.

The project aims to deliver a safer and more efficient route between Perth and Northam to accommodate the anticipated rise in regional and interstate freight movement, as well as projected population growth.

The planning and development phase is complete. Project development is pending funding commitment.

The Reid Highway Interchanges project is underway and forms part of EastLink WA. Construction of new bridged (grade separated) interchanges along Reid Highway commenced in 2025 and will deliver enhanced road safety and efficient traffic flow for residents, tourists and heavy vehicles.
